Portability, the ability of a spouse to pass their estate tax exclusion to the survivor, has
become an integral part of estate planning for marital couples. It carries even more
significance now that the estate tax exclusion has moved to $15 million per person with
no sunset. This session will review the benefits and potential pitfalls of portability.
